Last night, two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, nationally-renowned editor and Senior Advisor at Brian Communications Bill Marimow addressed Drexel University’s historic graduating class as this year’s commencement speaker.
While the original plan was to deliver a commencement speech to a gathering of 10,000 to 15,000 people at Citizens Bank Park, Bill “stepped up to the plate” and delivered heartfelt and inspiring remarks during Drexel’s first-ever virtual graduation ceremony.
Bill spoke about the unique difficulties the Class of 2020 has experienced, shining a light on hope in times of uncertainty and revealing opportunity in the wake of unprecedented challenges.
Bill touched on three themes in his message to graduating seniors:
- The enduring importance of their Drexel education
- The importance of finding a mentor in their first job and every job thereafter
- The need for public service

We’re incredibly proud of Bill and we join him in congratulating the historic Class of 2020!
